These terms govern your use of the Roubas Goju Ryu Karatedo Academy website and your participation in our classes, free trials, bookings and memberships. By using this site or booking a class, you agree to these terms.
Our classes
We provide traditional Goju Ryu karate instruction for children and adults at our Strathfield North (Concord) and Carlingford locations. Class times, programs and fees are published on our timetable page and may change from time to time.
Free trial classes & bookings
A free trial is offered to new students with no obligation to continue. Submitting a booking or enquiry form is a request for a class — a place is confirmed once we contact you. We make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred time, but classes are subject to availability and may be rescheduled.
Memberships & fees
Ongoing membership is offered with no lock-in contract. Current fees, family discounts and payment options are set out on the timetable page and confirmed at sign-up. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice.
Health, safety & assumption of risk
Karate is a physical, contact martial art that carries an inherent risk of injury. You should ensure you (or your child) are in suitable health to participate, and let an instructor know of any medical condition or injury. By participating, you accept these risks and agree to follow all instructor directions and safety rules. For students under 18, a parent or guardian accepts these terms on their behalf.
Code of conduct
We expect students and visitors to behave respectfully toward instructors, other students and our venues. We may decline or end participation where conduct is unsafe, disrespectful or disruptive.
Intellectual property
The content on this website — including text, logos, images and design — is owned by or licensed to Roubas Goju Ryu Karatedo Academy and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for loss or injury arising from participation in classes or use of this website, except where caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when they were last revised.
